Nat loopback on Asus DSL-AC68U?

Hi, I am new to this forum.

I hope someone please help me. I have looked all over the internet and found no definite answer.

I need to know id the Asus DSL-AC68U does Nat Loopback. I have changed my internet provider to Talktalk and was supplied a sagemcom wireless vdsl router which does not allow that. The problem I'm having is that I cant see any of my cctv camera on my network but its ok on 3g/4g or elsewhere away from home.

Recently I've change my ISP. Now I'n on FTTB, the switch witch belong to the ISP is in the basement huawei with 8 10/100 ports, from there cat5e cable to my Asus rt-ac88u.
I've experience wired packets drops, on speedtest.net, high latency about 10-15ms + and about 6-7 Mbps slow download on torrents, tested with the router given by my ISP(10/100 ports), no problem get full speed, tested with dual wan, same results, tested with cable directed to the pc, bypass the router, everything is fine,...

AC3100 best firmware

Hi all. I’m having all sorts of issues with 32799. Devices, both wired and wireless, keep resetting and/or hanging. Can anyone recommend a good stable firmware? Should I revert back to the prior 32x release or down to the 21x series? Thanks

From a while now, every some hours I get disconnected from my network then re-connect back within a few minutes, I don't know if this problem is only with me or someone else has it which is the reason that forced me to type it here. I want a solution for this connection issue, I can't even play my online games without getting disconnected like 10 times a day.

I'd like to know your suggestions, should I upgrade my software to the latest one? Or what am I supposed to do regarding this?

RT-AC5300 Wireless VPN Issue

Hi,

I'm trying to program my VPN into the ASUS RT-AC5300 router through OpenVPN, but after initial hardware setup, going into my control panel, there are no VPN or WAN tabs under the Advanced Settings header. I was instructed by ASUS to upload older firmware, which I did. I tried (3.0.0.4.384.32738, 3.0.0.4.384.21140, 3.0.0.4.384.21045, 3.0.0.4.384.20942), but no luck (3.0.0.4.380.1355 on back gave me invalid pop ups). Anyone have any ideas on how this can be fixed? Thank you!

Hi everyone,

I'm new to RT-AC86U. Just managed to install Debian Jessie using chroot on official firmware. Inside Debian, I've compiled mjpg-streamer from source and made it running. However, the official firmware doesn't come with uvcvideo driver. Can anyone help?

Asus AiMesh causes almost no 2.4GHz throughput

I have two new RT-AC86U. Setup as AiMesh with wireless backhaul. Latest firmware installed.
5.0GHz works very well. 2.4GHz is horrible, sometimes the bandwidth drops down to almost zero, sometimes it works at about 50Mbps. I get almost 200Mbps on 5GHz.

First noticed a problem with my 2.4GHz Homekit devices going NO RESPONSE. Now I think it was caused by the 2.4GHz wifi being so poor at times. When I run a Speedtest on the 2.4GHz wifi channel I noticed one of my Homekit devices...

Hi, have bought me 3 routers Asus RT-AX88U Nordic, who comes home with the post/mail on the door to me on Monday(tomorrow), thought using/test these three as aimesh, i have open purchase in 60 days so thought to test a little
If I'm not satisfied within 60 days, I will send back free of charge and pre-refund the money.
In Norway the price is one ax88u(NOK 3999)pcs(USD 506,25)
Now i have aimesh 3 routers ac86u im gonna send back tomorrow get money back,have tested some weeks now,working...

Have anyone tried Asus RT-AX88U?

Been fairly happy on my AC68 centric network, with an AC66 as an extender for my kids' guest SSID, and range extender for my media devices' guest SSID'.

Just reading about AiMesh and have a few basic questions:

- I assume Merlins F/W retains the AiMesh capability from the factory F/W - yes?
- Is the AiMesh capability finally now able to support guest/SSID network(s) through the node(s)?
- Can the NVRAM save and restore utility be utilized? From conventional to Ai Mesh? From AiMesh to...

I have asymmetrical WAN high speed with data cap, low speed unlimited.

I was using OpenWRT and was happy with config but needed to update WiFi radio performance. I thought the ASUS looked like it would do everything I wanted and more but find myself unable to do what I want.

The primary blocker is that I really want to keep traffic analysis, this was one of the primary reasons I switched to ASUS as I had struggled getting something that worked like I wanted on OpenWRT, so far the ASUS...

I have an issue, i have several younger children and I have the need to schedule their devices to shut off at 8:00 PM and turn back on at 8 am....this is easy, i schedule in AI Protection Time Scheduling on the router and this seems to work fine.....The problem then becomes if in addition to these scheduled outages.....we want to go in at anytime via the router app and restrict someone on demand that has an existing schedule created.....

I am able to do this with no issue using the Android...

wirless, not able to ping devices in other wifi band

hi, running 32799 on my rt-ac86u

after a while , a day or 2 or something, i am not able to pin my devices anymore in the other wifi band
so if i am in 5 ghz, i can ping the wifi devices in 2.4 and vica versa

devices are all still online though

if i reboot the router, its working again for a day or 2

alreay tried a factory reset

any1 else experiencing this also ?

Hello all,

Asus RT-AC66U router with firmware 380.70_HGG-FINAL

I managed to configure net-snmp
Enabled the replacement of configuration files via jffs
Created a separate snmpd.conf file in /jffs/configs/

Information: https://github.com/RMerl/asuswrt-merlin/wiki/Custom-config-files

Everything displays as it should except the last line.
extend test /bin/echo hello

This command is executed correctly in the SSH console.

I try to get the OID through the tree...

Alert! Someone accessing my RT-AC68U from WAN

I got so many tries of someone accessing my Router GUI with hundreds of failed login attempts with invalid username. I have temporarily disabled WAN access from outside.

I rebooted my router but will post a screenshot after enabling WAN https access again.

Just a heads up.

AC86U: how do I set 2.4GHz control channel and tx power?

Unlike my AC68U, the AC86U doesn't seem to let me set the control channel or tx power for 2.4GHz.

There is a Control Channel field, but its only option is Auto. And interestingly enough, it also says: Current Control Channel: 0

As for Tx Power Adjustment, I can't find it anywhere. I don't have Smart Connect enabled.

How to Disable AiProtection By Mac Address

Does anybody know how you can totally disable/bypass the use of ASUS AiProtection/whitelist for a certain nominated Mac addresse/s from the web GUI screens?

Is this even Possible or not? I cant seem to find a way by Mac address, i.e bypass/don't use AiProtection for this mac address.
