I have owned this router since June 2016. I have "Cleared" the system log several times. The next day or so, I see the system log populated with entries of Jul, then Jan, then Jul, then Jan, repeating many times. Then some other months entries. It makes no sense. These entries even re-appear after upgrading the firmware.

Is there a way to permanently clear the system log?

I lost my IPv6 connection to Comcast just like I did in the beginning on the very first day I unboxed this router and it advertised the newer firmware. Right after it finished flashing I logged back into the UI and lo and behold I no longer had an IPv6 address assignment. I immediately reflashed the unit to Merlin's 380.65_2 and when I logged in I had IPv6 back just like before.

I'm not certain about what the stock firmware is doing in native mode but using Merlin's firmware it will...

no script needed

I am frustrated with this router dumping IPv6 right in the middle of while we're trying to do things so I've attempted to roll back the firmware to the original version. I put it into recovery mode and successful uploaded the original 858 using the rescue utility which completed and said to wait for a reboot. 30 minutes have elapsed so far and only the main power light is on in a steady on state. mentioned bug is present in all ASUSWRT firmwares in both 378 and 380 branches up to 380_2695.

It hase been already mentioned here http://www.snbforums.com/threads/of...on-3-0-0-4-378-9177.27372/page-13#post-211944 though to raise it importance I wished to make a separate topic related to it. As mentioned in those posts user @charlie2alpha has confirmed it for his /56 prefix as I have for my /60...

I was up for eleven days with 380.7378 on my RT-AC66U_B1 and it was working GREAT! Then, the router lost all the manually assigned IP addresses followed by no connection to the WAN. Earlier in the day I had added a 5th manual IP. Reboot did nothing. So, back to Merlin 380.65_4.

I am using the RT-AC5300 with all 3 wifi bands separated, I use for my Apple devices (MacBook 2016, iPhone 7 Plus and iPad Pro 12.9) the second 5GHz-2 band, and 2-3 times a week when I get home from work none of the Apple devices will connect to the second 5GHz-2 Band, it will give me an error on the iDevice "unable to connect", then if I try to connect to the first 5GHz-1 band everything will be fine, I have to turn off the 5GHz-2 Band to be able to connect to the iDevices successfully....

I've seen the hidden URL before. I know it exists. Someone posted it on the internet and I tried it. But I lost the hidden router URL address. I know I can telnet into the thing and that's probably more powerful. But can anyone tell me what that mystery HTTP URL is to get into system command line entry? I know Tomato and other firmware have this. But I'm interested in the same function on stock firmware. Thanks

Hello
Here is my problem, after last firware update ASUS RT-AC87U Firmware version 3.0.0.4.380.7378, my ac87u just disconnects internet (iptv stills ok), in the main board it says that internet is connected.
Tried to rool back firmware and the problem still persists.
One odd thing is when I select the tab wan and make apply the router reconnects and it stays connect for an hour ou two.

Is anyone who has the same issue?

3.0.0.4.380_7378 for the RT-AC66U B1 can be downloaded from the Asus support site or installed from the Firmware Upgrade page. About the only issue I've noticed is the QOS upload - download is reversed when IPV6 is enabled. This has been reported before.

Hi all!

Trying to work out if my ASUS DSL-AC68U has buggy firmware or if it may be faulty. When I look at it with a wireless scanner on 5G if I have it set to 802.11ac or if I perform a factory reset then when looking at it with a wireless scanner it’s only transmitting on 1 channel on 5G. I would expect it to transmit on 2 channels in order to get higher speeds. The only way I can get it to do that is to set it to N only and choose 40MHz. Setting it to auto or choosing 20 40 80 MHz won’t...

Hi! I'm hoping someone has come across the same issue as me. The router is great, I don't really have any issues. My VPN provider on the other hand has many, many servers, which throughout the day get busier (and slower) and vica versa. This means constantly having to change servers throughout the day based on their load to maintain a good speed.

Everytime I have to change servers I have to manually add any new one which I want to use, even though I can download a zip file which contains...

Will adaptive qos receive an option to choose qos alogrithm, when will it use or does it use fq-codel
and if so will it be upgraded to use cake-FQ-Codel, if not is it possible to allow for choosing which algrithim is used, and can it be added in a future firmware update.
