Can't enable SSH RT-AC87U on 3.0.0.4.380_7266

Basically since merlin said downgrading isn't recommended and since I was tired I just le the thing update and went to bed. I can't seem to get the SSH daemon going. I click enable yes, only lan. Set the new password(it won't let me apply it without it), I am mainly wanting to do a custom conig file ala merlinwrt the hosts.add and replace the hosts file with my custom one that's all I need ssh for and it's not even letting me start this.

edit: delete this thread I just went with merlin...

Hi all,


I have DSL-N14U B1 Modem/Router from Origin Broaband and it comes with:
DSL Driver Version FwVer:3.20.56.24_A_TC3087 HwVer:T14.F7_11.2
Firmware Version 1.1.1.2_origintest_20161122

but no option to "UPGRADE" to any version (option is missing) as well as SSH option is missing.

I want to upgrade to latest one "ASUS DSL-N14U Firmware version 1.1.2.2_17 (This product supports both Annex A and Annex B)"

This is an option to turn on and off in the admin section of the webui under system. It is set to off, by default, what exactly will it do if you turn it on? Will it allow you to access the webui remotely?

Hi,

when trying to set Static IPs for my LAN devices (https://192.168.1.1:8443/Advanced_DHCP_Content.asp) on my DSL-N16 with firmware 1.1.2.2_17-g00f2807, the page hangs as soon as I hit SAVE button and I could not log in into the router again, neither can the Android "ASUS Router" app unless I power the device OFF/ON again.

I have set up HTTPS only access on default port 8443 to the admin pages, maybe that has got something to do with it?

QoS - Traditional - Upload/Download Bandwidth

I was playing/testing Traditional QoS.

I put the Upload and Download Bandwidth and the router just went dead. Working very poorly.

Later I discovered they are switched! I had to put my Download Bandwidth in the Upload section
and my Upload Bandwidth in the Download section! Then everything started to work properly. How come the names are switched?!

Hi,
I'm trying to get DDNS updates working from my RT-N66U for dnsomatic and I simply can't get it to operate. I'm wondering if anyone else has this working before I contact ASUS support. My configuration is:
latest firmware (I think) v3.0.0.4.380_7266
selected www.dnsomatic.com from the dropdown list
host = all.dnsomatic.com (also tried a bunch of alternatives)
enable wildcard = no (also tried yes)
wan ip and hostname verification = no (also tried...

Hi everyone,

There's been a few reports recently from people losing IPTV support in recent firmware releases for the RT-AC56/RT-AC68/RT-AC88/RT-AC3100/RT-AC5300.

If you are affected by this, please do the following:

1) Make sure you flash the latest official Asus firmware
2) Test IPTV functionality again

If you still experience issues, post in this thread with the following information:

1) Your router model and firmware version tested
2) Your IPTV service provider
3) What IPTV...

RT-N66U or Virgin Media issue?

I am with Virgin Media (Fareham, UK area) using their router in modem mode (hence forth known as modem) connected to my RT-N66U (henceforth known as router).

Everything has been rock steady until this weekend when I returned home from a week away.

All my equipment reported a connection to the router but no internet, I did a reset of the modem and router and everything came back OK. Every day ever since the same problem has occured and I found that just resetting the modem would fix the...

RT AC68-U 380.7266 possible WPS bug?

Hey

I have the AC68U and did factory reset it after upgrading to 380.7266. I configured it and rebooted it and it was after this that I noticed that WPS was enabled. I am certain I didn't enable it myself.

Is this a known issue/Has anyone else found WPS enabled by itself?

Saw that the latest FW (380.7378) came out a few days ago. Anyone running this who has this issue as well?
