wake on lan firmware aimesh rt-ac88u

I have a router asus rt-ac88u to which I have put the firmware of asus to use it with aimesh the day they take out if they remove it for the rt-ac87u before with the merlin firmware of ac87u and the script that is in the forum for the wake on lan had no problems ..
Now with the firmware for the ac88u of asus I do not know how to configure the arp so that the entry of the ip that I want to wake up remains permanent.
Any ideas?

Client devices disconneting with new Firmware v3.0.0.4.384.20308

Don't really know what's going on but I updated my 2 86u's (one is the main and the other mesh node) along with my old 3100 as a mesh node using the Asus app via my computer this morning. Seemed like everything was working well until my daughter told me that her laptop keeps disconnecting from the Wi-Fi.

I went to check and sure enough it shows her laptop wireless adapter continuing to disconnect from the taskbar and then reconnect. Also, her iPad cannot connect to the Wi-Fi, as it states...

Client list and DHCP bug?

RT-AC86U

2 odd issues:

1. The client list will not populate with any names for wired clients.
2. I have two clients that are most definitely DHCP leases but are showing as "static".

Is this just me?

Having "problem" with ASUS RT-AC86U (upload/lan speed)
5G (only 5G router in neigborhood if i scan network)

2.5 meters from router clear sight. signal quality (995) connection speed "866".

Copy from other PC/NAS to device (Lenovo T570) using Intel AC 8265 card: latest 20.20.2.2 drivers
result 50-40 MB/sec

Copy from Notebook - to any device on LAN (1G ethernet connection) max upload speed is 12-14 MB/sec

Tried booting Live Ubuntu 17.10 which give same results so no Win10/driver...

Will we ever be able to use custom scripts on stock firmware, it would be nice for example for stock firmware to have an option like merlins to allow for the use of custom scripts like freshjr qos script, so that units like the GT-AC5300 could have such functionality available to it

Unable to change Clients Name

Searched and found no relevant discussion.

Previously, I've been able to successfully rename my clients from their mac address to a more user-friendly name. This is done from the main router page (router.asus.com/index.asp) by clicking on the 'View List' button, then setting the cursor's focus on a specific clients name. This can also be done by clicking the icon above the 'View List' button, then editing the specific client and hitting the 'Apply' button.

For the past day, I can no longer...

RT-AC68U: AiProtection, IPTV and PPPoE

Hi, I have a problem with lastest versions of firmware (3.0.0.4_384_xxxx)

Since 10007, they fixed NAT throughput drop issue that affected my connection speed through PPPoE. Now, the speeds are ok as long as the IPTV is off. When I turn it on, the speed is dramatically reduced.

I have observed that:
  • In this situation if I turn off the AiProtection function, the speed tunrs into normal. RAM and CPU comsuption is also decreased.
  • If I turn on AiProtection, the speed is stable...

i'm new here and am trying to get familiar as well as a couple questions.
  • i'm getting the dnsmasq localhost naming error that's been described before every minute. the device is a samsung powerbot vacuum and it connects via a cell app.is there a method to rename this device? what i've read so far does not work.
