RT-AC3200 Current Official Firmware Thread (3.0.0.4.382.50470)

Rather than creating a new thread every time a new firmware is released for Asus RT-AC3200, I suggest we maintain one thread. This gives us one place to:
- Easily find reports about how previous firmwares functioned, if current is not that great.
- Subscribe to. Don't have to subscribe to a new thread every time a new firmware appears.

I'm currently on 384.20379 and my router is flashing that a new bios version is available but the router cannot contact the server to get it. When I check my product page the support page is not available so Asus is definitely adding a new bios version today so keep checking for it. I will update this with links and behavior when I am able to get it.:D

Is it possible to manage/config parental controls from script/ssh?

It's nice that I can use Time Scheduling to block/unlock internet access but want more granular blocking. 'Web & Apps Filters' offers that, but there is no scheduling option. If it is possible to manage parental controls from the console, then perhaps I can schedule filter changes using an on-board script or through a ssh connection from a remote scheduler.

Perhaps being able to backup and restore aiprotection settings would be a good start?

RT-AC86U: 5GHz channel of Aimesh node is stuck in band C

Hi,

I have 2 RT-AC86U. The first one is configured as Router and second one as AiMesh node.
Both routers are using firmware Version: 3.0.0.4.384_20648

I'm living in France. So I have configured Region as Europe. Main router is broadcasting the 5Ghz as expected in Band A (Channels 36 – 64) or Band B (Channels 100 – 140) following the settings. That's OK...

But the Aimesh node is stuck in Band C (Channels 149 – 161) !
Most of French devices don't connect on the C-Band... This is the issue...

Security Camera Randomly Stopped Connecting

Hello,

I'm using a Dlink camera DCS-2670 and one of them randomly stopped connecting.

Here is what I'm seeing in the router logs.

It keeps flipping between my different APs. Keep in mind it has been connected for a few months now and nothing has been changed.

RT-AC3100 Firmware.

My 3100 shows a new firmware Ver # 3.0.0.4.984_20942-ge38bead. I believe this is likely some kind of beta but unable to install. When i try it can't receive the change log and install always fails saying Cant connect to Asus server check connection. Anyone else seeing this ?

When I check my product page the support page is not available so Asus is definitely adding a new bios version today so keep checking for it. RT-AC3100 Base and RT-AC68U Node f/w Update?

I have an RT-AC3100 Base Unit with three RT-AC68U Nodes. F/W update is out for the RT-AC68U but not the RT-AC3100.

Currently my Base Unit is on 3.0.0.4.384_20379 and the nodes are on 3.0.0.4.384_20648.

Apparently 3.0.0.4.384.20942 is available for the RT-AC68U and no update is currently available for the RT-AC3100.

The nodes are already on a more recent f/w. Should I update them or wait? It seems the RT-AC3100 is being left behind on the f/w updates maybe?

Hi

After upgrading to recent 20942 in AP-mode (factory reset done) changed some settings in admin-page and after apply I saw this buggy screen with 2 new features.

WPS-button
Energy Save Mode: full power/auto/power save

Had to login again and never came up again.
Seems to be some hidden feature.
Can we change it with SSH?

Aimesh Client List not stable?

Hello!
I have an aimesh setup with 2 nodes - rt-ac68u (cough cough), firmware version *648.

The client list in the web portal keeps changing every second with clients disappearing and reappearing. I am presuming it is just a UI issue. Since I dont see connections dropping on the clients.

Is there any fix/workaround?

IPSEC and IOS

Hey guys,

I tried to simply turned on the IPSEC server, add a Pre-shared Key, user name and password. Then I configured my IOS devices with the same info and it fails with “negotiation with the vpn server failed”.

I can watch the client on the server “Connecting...” but it never connects.

Any ideas?
